Maine Digital Collaborative
revitalizes the digital public commons
of the people, by the people, for the people
Maine Digital Collaborative (MDC) seeks to bring Maine into conversation with the rest of the globe on critical issues in higher education, cultural exchange, and health. MDC connects academic work with community-based efforts to create new knowledge in these broad areas.
From its logo to its footnotes, MDC supports the dynamic collaboration that is fundamental to advances in the intersecting fields of Information Technology, Computer Science, the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
We reimagine ourselves as writers and designers,
as writers who deal with the intricacies of reading, critiquing, revising, and writing texts,
and as designers who use digital technologies to integrate multiple modes of communication
to design, compose, and transform knowledge.
Thinking, writing, exploring,
questioning, creating, and sharing are the
arts of liberal democracy.
If you have a passion for innovation, collaboration, and hard work, partner with us to
revitalize the digital commons!
